Nicolas Berard PT, DPT, CSCS

Physical Therapist, Owner


Dr. Berard received his B.S. degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University followed by his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University. He specializes in sports medicine and orthopedic manual therapy and has over 10 years of experience in various settings of physical therapy treating a vast array of diagnoses. Nicolas continues to further his education within the curricula of the highly regarded Functional Movement Systems (SFMA) and Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars, with courses that focus on functional manual therapy and patient education to facilitate optimum human function. Nicolas also has a certification from the Titleist Performance Institute, thus giving him the tools to treat any level golfer.


Margarita Mancheva PT, DPT

Physical Therapist, Owner


Dr. Mancheva is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona where she received her B.S. in Animal Science followed by her doctorate from the University of Southern California. She furthered her education by attending Movement Science Dysfunction courses detailing impairment syndromes of the spine and shoulder, knee injuries related to hip and ankle dysfunction and utilizing specific manual therapy techniques to treat the body. Her passion for physical therapy had her branch out and developed an interest in helping rehabilitate cancer survivors in the process of returning to activities of daily living and pursued a certification in LeDuc Lymphedema management to help patients post surgically and with other invasive cancer treatments. Sports medicine is another realm in which she has grown her skill set. Cycling being one of her passions, she went on to be certified as an intermediate level bike fitter which helps her understand and develop injury prevention programs for different types of cyclists as well as evaluate and treat their current condition on and off the bike. Her personal experience in cycling, soccer and the martial arts help her dissect an activity into individual movements and create a functional and holistic approach to rehabilitation.


David Deisinger PT, MPT

Physical Therapist


David grew up in the San Fernando Valley and Antelope Valley. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Cal Lutheran in 1991 and received his MPT from CSUN in 2000. He began his career at Antelope Valley Hospital working in the orthopedic and in-patient settings. He has continued to work in the out-patient setting for the last 14 years, with the addition of home health care for the last 3 years. He has continued his education in orthopedics, athletic and geriatric rehab, and balance. David has played multiple sports and enjoys the occasional golf game. He has coached various sports and now enjoys watching his 3 children play. David looks forward to spending time with his wife and 3 children and working on various home D.I.Y. projects.


    Dr. Eric Bergman, PT, DPT


    Dr. Eric Bergman, PT, DPT received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Eric developed an appreciation for physical therapy while rehabbing from multiple injuries playing high school basketball. He emphasizes the therapist-to-client relationship by ensuring that all clients feel listened to and are presented with the most recent treatments as backed by current research. He wants to ensure that his patients can return to the activities they love with whom they love. Additionally, he believes that the relationship between a positive mental outlook and physical pain has an integral role in the rehab process. He is looking to become a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist to further his skills and knowledge. Eric grew up in the San Fernando Valley and is excited to treat patients from the local community. Outside of the clinic he enjoys playing basketball and tennis, hiking, going to the beach, cooking, and attending concerts.


      Nicole Nakhshekarian PT, DPT


      Dr. Nicole Nakhshekarian received her B.S. in Kinesiology from California State University Northridge (CSUN), and then her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). She wishes to further her education by specializing in neurology, oncology, wound management, and sports. Additionally, Nicole is a Taekwondo Master with over 20 years of experience and wishes to utilize this skill set in her treatment plans. She has a wide array of interests (i.e. hiking, cycling, racquetball, swimming, archery, art, music, etc.), but is passionate about volleyball and martial arts (i.e. Aikido, weapons combat). Nicole believes the mind to be a powerful tool, and that mental imagery and practice should be an essential part of our everyday lives and treatment practices.


        Dr. Alexander Cossey, PT, DPT, OCS


        Dr. Alexander Cossey, PT, DPT, OCS received his B.S. in Biological Sciences from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2015 before earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from West Coast University in Los Angeles in 2020. Alex developed an appreciation for physical therapy at an early age while rehabbing from numerous competitive soccer injuries. He ultimately decided to pursue a career in PT after gaining experience treating club athletes as a student Athletic Trainer at UCSB. Since receiving his doctorate in 2020, Alex has expanded his skill set to include advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management through the American Institute of Balance in addition to receiving his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist board certification in 2023. Outside of the clinic Alex continues to enjoy playing in pick-up soccer leagues, hiking, and traveling with his wife.


          David Herrera CSCS, CMT

          Exercise Specialist


          David graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Sports medicine. He spent 2 years as an intern at UCLA as a strength and conditioning coach. There he honed his skills in getting individuals better, faster, stronger with safety in mind. David has been working in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy for over 10 years and has been a private trainer for over 15 years. He is a certified strength and conditioning coach, as well as a certified massage therapist. His interests include weight training, mountain biking, and hiking.


          Maria Ayala

          Exercise Specialist


          Prior to being a exercise specialist, Maria was a Peer Learning Facilitator for CSUN’s Exercise Physiology Department and a Research Lab Manager for the Biomechanics Department. She has presented a number of research projects with national conferences and graduated with honors from her undergraduate exercise science program. Maria has also studied and implemented aquatic therapies under the Brown Center of Achievement at CSUN. These hands on academic experiences have guided her in developing effective and engaging strategies for more comprehensive patient education. Her interests include gardening, camping, kayaking, and cooking.
